Cloud Dining in Hitech City, Hyderabad.

Updated: Jan 26

Cloud Dining! I remember myself having my 3-day meal sitting on the cold floor and eating with our bare hands. Then things turned and we were sitting on chairs and dining tables, and are using spoons and forks. But never the thought of eating in the sky occurred to me nor my family.

So, just after I discovered this dining in the sky, Cloud Dining, I’m excitedly here to let you know about this.

Location

The great thing about this is it’s not on the outskirts of the city like many adventurous-restaurants like these are usually are.

It is located in the heart of the city of pearls, Hyderabad and is severely close to the Cyber towers like some around 200 mts from the towers and the Hitech City Metro station.

You can grab a metro and easily reach it.

More about Cloud Dining

The Cloud dining main feature is the dinner in the sky from where it got that name. But how it’s done?

The first step after booking your chair is obviously sitting in the chair and buckling your seatbelts, but then the real terror begins.

After all the servers and your short-time neighbors fasten their ropes and buckle their seatbelts respectively, the crane starts lifting the whole thing with all the 26 diners and an additional 6-8 staff to a height of 160 feet in all less than three minutes.

That’s a lot of excitement, but it doesn’t end there! After it stops and also during it’s elevating, your seat has a 180-degree horizontal rotation letting you see the beauty of Hyderabad heart, Hitech City, amidst the beautiful lights and the dazzling stars (or maybe not, because of the global warming).

The view which is similar to the view from an eight-story building is nearly impossible to put in words.

Requirements

According to the website:

Anyone over the age of 13 with a minimum height of 143cm and a maximum weight of 150kg. For guests under age of 18, the presence & signature of a parent/legal guardian will be required for the indemnity form.

Pregnant women are not allowed to experience CloudDining. Guests must be in good health and free form, but not limited to heart conditions, back issue, neck issue, fractured bones, recent surgery, and hypertension.

What happens when you want to go for a leak or the weather is bad

From the query on the website: All guests are recommended to use the restroom prior to taking their seats. However, if there is an emergency & you need to use the restroom during your flight, the platform table will be lowered, but you will not be able to continue the flight session.

For weather, the experience will only be canceled if there are major occurrences such as natural disasters, bad weather, etc. In such cases, a voucher with the same value will be issued to the people to be used within the current event duration.

Price

Before letting you know the cost of this experience, I’m gonna brief you, the type of experiences it would offer.

According to the manager words,

First, we have a mocktail session which would last around half an hour. That means you get to experience the view while enjoying a drink as if you are watching live India Vs Pak cricket match. This costs around 2.5K Rs per head.

Second, we have a full meal session which would last around 45 minutes to 1 hr long. This is more of a restaurant plus adventure like-feel. I mean, eating at 160 feet high with people having ropes tied around serving you, is quite the best experience. This costs around 5K Rs per head.

Third, you have a buffet on the ground. This costs around 699 Rs per head and offers you a variety of veg & no-veg dishes.

The last, you have a normal restaurant with a menu, but unfortunately, it’s not yet completely started. According to the manager, it would be officially started from Jan 1st of 2020. And the prices would be reasonable, from his words.

What are you waiting for, quickly reserve your seat from the website or even you can immediately reserve a seat by walking in and paying the cost. But remember, you need to be present there 1hr before your session.
